Mr. Mature America Update: A new song for the upcoming March 22nd Pageant has just been completed. It will be sung when the first Mr. Mature America is crowned and strides down the Runway at the Music Pier to greet his admirers. Mr. Mature America is a pageant that will celebrate the talents and contributions of men 60 years of age and over. There is no Pageant currently like it in the United States. So Ocean City has stepped in to fill the void. Doo Dah Weekend in Ocean City

The weekend of April 12th is Doo Dah Weekend! The Doo Dah Parade, on the 12th,  will feature the Basset Hound Waddle with over 500 of the floppy eared doggies, many sporting decorations; comical brigades, clowns, costumed characters and the Pie Asco, a massive pie in the face event in front of the Music Pier when the Parade ends. On Saturday night there will be a tribute to Abbott and Costello at the Library with impersonators introducing a classic movie. And lest we forget, the Tri State County Basset Hound Rescue League will hold its popular Olympics on Friday at noon on the Tabernacle Grounds. Since 1999 Michael Hartman has made major contributions to the quality of life of this community. He has, in effect, brought “Broadway to the Beach.” The high energy, entertaining shows he has produced in conjunction with the Ocean City Pops continue to be highlights of the summer season. These include Annie, Cinderella, Singing in the Rain, Oklahoma, Music Man, Crazy for You, Peter Pan, the list goes on and on. Christmas Parade, Train Show, Pops Concert This Week

There's plenty going on in Ocean City to keep you in the holiday spirit this week. Santa will make another of his frequent appearances in Ocean City during the Downtown's Annual CHRISTMAS PARADE set for Friday, Dec. 6th, starting 6:30 p.m. Parade route is from 6th to 11th Streets on Asbury Ave. Following the Parade, Santa will be escorted to the Gazebo across from City Hall, 9th and Asbury Avenue. Here, he will greet youngsters, pose for photos and distribute treats.
