Born on the Beaches of South Jersey...Clam Drain is born a long time ago in a land not so far away. The game as it is captured here, has it’s roots in Ocean City, NJ, but has been played all over “down the shore” for over 40 years!
The Object of the Game: To toss, throw, hurl or otherwise sail the Clam airborne to and down The Drain. Think horseshoes but with hand molded, designer color, exact replicas of genuine South Jersey Clam Shells.
It’s one thing to want to play...It’ another to find the necessary “equipment”! Finding 4 clam shells of the right size during the summers in New Jersey is like finding a parking spot in South Philly...well...just about anytime! (Not usually an easy feat!)
Problema-You can’t win if you don’t play, and you ain’t playin’ if you got no shells!
Also-If you do find shells-Try to save them for "tomorrow"! Experience would suggest that they have a very good chance of being in at least 17 pieces each by the time they make it out of the bottom of your beach bag the next day!
