Ocean City Halloween Parade 2008

The Ocean City

Exchange Club, in conjunction with the City of Ocean City, will be presenting the 61st annual Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 30th beginning at 7:15pm. The parade will march along Asbury Avenue from 6th to 11th Streets.

Registration for all marching & float divisions is FREE. Please do so in person by October 27th at the following location during business hours:

The Sentinel Ledger Newspaper, 8th Street & Haven Avenue

Late entries may register the night of the parade at 6th & Asbury Avenue beginning at 6:30pm.

Come early as thousands of spectators compete for the best spots to view the 8 parade divisions, including numerous & varied decorated floats, competing for prizes and trophies. In addition, come and listen to the music of several area schools and the ever-popular Original Hobo Band.

This year’s Grand Marshal will be Ocean City’s recently retired Chief of Police, Bob Blevin.

Correctly guess the Mystery Marcher for a chance to win a $100 Gift Check donated by the Fortress Financial! The Mystery Marcher will be a well known Ocean City citizen disguised in a gorilla costume carrying a question mark sign!

Remember to bring your can of food to the parade! The Boy Scouts of America are assisting the local food cupboard by “Scouting for Food” for those who are in need.
