Old Fashioned Family Christmas Planned in Downtown Ocean City

An Old-Fashioned Family Christmas in Downtown Ocean City is scheduled for November 25^th, the day after Thanksgiving. Asbury Avenue, 6^th-11^th Streets, will be full of holiday spirit and entertainment to accompany

Features of the day will include free photos with Santa in an Ocean City Lifeboat on City Hall Lawn, Carolers in Victorian costumes and other entertainment on Asbury Ave.

The Philadelphia Phanatic will be visiting from 4-5:30pm. Michael Hartman and other talent will gather on City Hall steps at 4:30pm to prepare for Santa’s arrival at 5pm. A program by the Community Carolers will fill the air with the familiar sounds of an old fashion Christmas.

At 5pm, the Christmas Tree at City Hall will be lit. Then Santa will arrive in Ocean City just like he did years ago. The Jolly Old Elf will descend from the roof of City Hall with the assistance of a Fire Department Ladder truck.

Downtown shop keepers will feature specials and restaurants will be open, some offering free refreshments.
