The T shirts and hotdogs will be provided by Dietz and Watson, the major sponsor of the event since its beginning. Gah! over the T Shirt once they see you sporting it around town.

Parade entry categories include Brigades (described as five or more deranged individuals), Individuals, Impersonators of legendary comedians, Miscellaneous Whatevers, Pet Owners, and a separate division for Basset Hounds. THE PIEASCO: A cherished feature of the Doo Dah Parade is the PieAsco that celebrates the memory of Soupy Sales. It is held at the conclusion of the Parade in front of the Music Pier at Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. PieAscoites sit in grand stands and when the signal is given by Trudy Sales, Soupy’s widow, smoosh each other in the face with shaving cream pies, the kind Soupy used for years on his nationally syndicated TV show. The Doo Dah Parade begins at noon, April 14. It starts at 6th and Asbury Ave., goes to 12 and Asbury, turns to the Boardwalk and ends at the Music Pier. Grand Marshal will be Chuck McCann, star of TV, movies, commercials and voice-overs. Special guest will be Elwood, World’s Ugliest Dog (he’s as sweet as they come) with best friend Karen Quigley

There will be a comedy show 8 p.m., Friday, April 13 at the Music Pier and a Basset Hound Olympics on the 13th at 1 p.m. on the Tabernacle grounds. For a full schedule of Doo Dah events, call 609-525-9300.
