U.S. NAVY COUNTRY BAND WILL PLAY FREE CONCERT IN OCEAN CITY, SEPT 2

Country Current, the United State’s Navy’s Country Band, will be featured in a free concert at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, Sun., Sept. 27 at 1 p.m.

Admission is by free ticket, available at City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave. Annex hours are Mon.- Fri. from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free tickets are also available by sending a stamped, self addressed envelope to Community Services, City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Ave., Ocean City, N.J. 08226, call 609-525-9300. Requests are limited to six tickets.

The popular country-blue grass band has played here before, always to a full house. The talented seven member ensemble has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Now, the White House and the Wheeling Jamboree. The group plays all types of country music from contemporary country rock to traditional Blue Grass and Western Swing.

Official United States Navy and Air Force Bands have played here frequently in recent years because of the enthusiastic response they receive from the community and because of the facilities provided.
