Veterans Day Service Set For November 11 in Ocean City, NJ

Ocean City’s Annual Veterans Day Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th starting 11 a.m. at Veterans’ Memorial Park, 5th and Wesley Avenue.

Guest speaker will be Air Force Col., Owen J. Giblin, Ret. He will be introduced by John Divel, Commander of the American Legion. City Administrator James Rutala will offer remarks. The Ocean City High School Band will play the National Anthem and Lexi Petrilla will sing the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America.

The Dramis Detachment of the Marine Corps League will present and retire the colors. Rev. Brian C. Roberts of St. Peter’s Methodist Church will give the invocation and the benediction. There will be a placing of the wreath by veterans Ted Bethas and Jack Hagan. The wreath is donated by Spinning Wheel Florists.

Ocean City Primary School and Intermediate School children will present a “Thank You to Veterans.” In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Tabernacle Auditorium across the street from the Park.
