What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ

Saturday, November 7 - TRAIL OF TWO CITIES run/walk over the 9th Street Causeway - The event starts 8 a.m. at the Ocean City Transportation Center and ends in Kennedy Park in Somers Point. Registration 7am at the Transportation Center located on Haven Ave. between 9th and 10th Sts. Buses will be available at Kennedy Park to transport participants to the Ocean City Transportation Center from 7-7:30am. Buses will also transport folks back to Ocean City following the event. Registration the day of the race is $25. Long sleeved T-Shirts will be given to all pre-registrants and to day of the event registrants while they last.

THE 9th ST. CAUSEWAY WILL BE CLOSED TO CAR TRAFFIC FROM 8 A.M. UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 9:30 A.M. FOR THE EVENT.

Wednesday, November 11 - Veteran's Day Program, 11am at Veteran's Memorial Park, 5th & Wesley Ave.

The OCEAN CITY HISTORICAL MUSEUM'S 2010 calendar is now available for $8. For $10 it will be sent anywhere in the United States. The calendar, titled Public Safety through the Years, features 17 historic photos of Ocean City's police, fire and beach patrol. The Museum is located at 17th and Simpson Ave.

THE OCEAN CITY HIGH SCHOOL Red and White Scholarship dinner is set for Nov.12 from 5-7 p.m. at the school Cafeteria, 5th Street entrance. Enjoy dinner specialties prepared by local chefs plus music. Tickets are $25 per person, children 6-12, $10, 5 years and under are free. All proceeds benefit 2010 Senior Scholarships. The event is sponsored by the OCHS Leadership Club. FIRST NIGHT ADMISSION BUTTONS are now available at Downtown Gillian's, 838B Asbury Ave. or on line at www.firstnightocnj.com. The popular New Year's Eve Celebration offers entertainment from 4 p.m. till midnight with a fireworks display at midnight to welcome the New Year for just $14 per person. There will be 70 entertaining shows and events at 16 central locations.
