Surfing

For guarded surfing, you have three options: 7th street, 16th street and Waverly Beach. You can surf on all other beaches when lifeguards are OFF duty.

Ocean City is celebrated for its surfing thanks to the consistent and safe waves. The fairly flat and only gradually slopped beaches create waves that break well. And the clean waters contain very few potential hazards, making the area a popular spot for surfers.
