There’s nothing like an invigorating ocean breeze and a limitless supply of golden sunshine to entice you to stretch those muscles! Spanning 2.5 miles, the Boardwalk serves as a by-way for biking, walking, and jogging. Distance is conveniently marked every quarter mile. From May 15 to Labor Day (and on Saturday’s between Labor Day and Indian Summer Weekend) bike traffic is limited to between the hours of 5 a.m. and 12 p.m. for safety. Early-morning workout enthusiasts can take advantage of the lighter crowds to enjoy a more robust exercise experience.

Shopping

For a full-fledged shopping experience that you won’t soon forget, you will find an incredible assortment of shops and retail establishments along the Boardwalk in Ocean City. The Boardwalk offers the latest in resort wear, jewelry, vacation essentials, and many specialty items unique to Ocean City. From homemade fudge to antique collectibles, shopping can be a daily occasion or an end-of-season savings event.

Attractions

Family amusement parks have the traditional favorites and latest thrill rides, go-karts, water parks, movie theatres, and high-tech arcades. Miniature golf theme parks feature fantasy island adventures with pirate folklore. Two “can’t miss” destinations are Gillian’s Wonderland Pier at Boardwalk and 6th Street and Playland’s Castaway Cove at Boardwalk and 10th Street. Both are amusement parks jam-packed with fun rides featuring a wide selection of exciting activities that are sure to please everyone in the family.

Family Night

And speaking of families, there’s no better “family-friendly” place than our Jersey Shore Boardwalk. To make our Boardwalk even more suitable for family fun, every Thursday in July and August is “Family Night.” Free live entertainment and celebrations occur along every boardwalk block including:
