Corvettes and Cyclists Roll Into Town This Weekend

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 9/18/19 Admission Buttons on Sale for First Night Ocean City 2020 More than 350 Corvettes will take over the Ocean City Boardwalk on Sunday, Sept. 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The annual Corvette Show includes a range of models dating back to Corvette’s first in 1953 and extending to the present. The show is one of the largest on the East Coast, and the line of vehicles will cover the boardwalk from Sixth Street to 14th Street. Ocean City Air Shows Fly Over Town This Weekend

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 9/11/19 Annual 9/11 Ceremony Scheduled for Wednesday All eyes will turn to the sky for Ocean City’s Air Show Weekend on Sept. 14 and 15. All events are free to attend. The celebration starts with the Ocean City Airport Festival on Saturday (Sept. 14) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival features a ground display of unusual airplanes ranging from World War II to the present. The event will feature a parachute jump from Team Fastrax, “America’s Skydiving Team.” It also will include food, music, classic cars and kids’ activities, including the Ocean City Board of Realtors’ popular Bubble Mania. Street Rods and Classic Cars Roll Onto Boardwalk for Annual Show

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 9/4/19 LaKisha Jones Helps Celebrate the ‘Queens of Rock and Soul’ Street rods and other classic cars will be on display during Ocean City’s annual Street Rod Weekend Sept. 6 and 7. Street rods are classic cars (1989 or older) modified with modern parts. Friday evening (Sept. 6) will feature a sock-hop party on the grounds of the Tabernacle, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with dancing, games, family fun and more. Iron Kettle BBQ will be on hand. What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 8/28/19 Country Music Concert Highlights Weekend Events Country music comes to the Ocean City Music Pier on Friday, August 30 with a concert featuring the Swon Brothers and Josh Gracin. The Swon Brothers burst onto the scene in 2013 by bringing country music to the finale of NBC's "The Voice," and they continue to tour and record great music. Josh Gracin first hit the country music charts 15 years ago, and he's making the best music of his career. Now in its 91st season, the Ocean City Pops is mixing it up with a wide variety of musical talents this summer. The local orchestra performs twice-weekly at the historic Ocean City Music Pier, and the remainder of the 2019 season promises something for everybody.

Another week of pageantry in Ocean City includes the Miss Crustacean Beauty Pageant on Wednesday, the Little Miss Ocean City Pageant on Friday and the Junior Miss Ocean City Pageant on Saturday.
The original beauty contest for crustaceans returns as an evening event this year. In an annual tradition, Ocean City celebrates the beauty of hermit crabs with contestants vying for the coveted Cucumber Rind Cup. The Ocean City Baby Parade returns to the Boardwalk for the 110th time at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019.
The annual tradition offers a chance for parents to show off Ocean City's newest generation. The parade features children (ages 10 and under) cruising the Ocean City Boardwalk in themed strollers, wagons and floats. It starts at Sixth Street with children finishing at the Music Pier (at Moorlyn Terrace) and all other entries continuing to 14th Street.
Participants can sign up at the Welcome Center on the ground floor of City Hall at Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue. Entry fee is $5 per child.
