Jr. Miss Pageant, Welcome Night, Halloween Parade Next

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 10/19/16 Ocean City has three pageants for young women. These include the Little Miss, Junior Miss and Miss Ocean City pageants. The winners of each pageant represent the community during the year at various events, contests and parades. They help to judge contests, pose for photos with visitors and work together. They are a valuable asset to Ocean City. This Saturday (Oct. 22), the JUNIOR MISS OCEAN CITY PAGEANT will feature 15 contestants competing at the William and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center at Ocean City High School, 6th Street and Atlantic Avenue. October Events Roll on in Ocean City, NJ

(Oct. 13) The Ocean City Fire Department and IAFF Local 4032 will hold an OPEN HOUSE at 550 Asbury Ave., 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everybody in the community is invited to this free event. It will feature a live burn demonstration, a “smoke house” where kids can safely learn to navigate a dark and smoky structure, tours of trucks, “stop-drop-and-roll,” hot dogs and pretzels. Block Party Highlights Columbus Day Weekend

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 10/5/16 (Oct. 8) Our annual Indian Summer FALL BLOCK PARTY featuring more than 400 crafters, food vendors, music and more is just a few days away. Hundreds of Corvettes to be on Display Here on Sunday

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 9/14/16 More than 400 Corvettes will be displayed on the Boardwalk from 6th Street to 14 Street on Sunday, Sept. 18. King and Queen of Plop set for Sept. 2

Our annual event to welcome the fall season, THE KING AND QUEEN OF PLOP or Mr. Fall Guy and Miss Fall Gal, will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, starting 11 a.m. at the Ninth Street Beach next to the Ocean City Music Pier. Contestants are asked to greet the fall, always a lovely time of year, by plopping dramatically to the sand in SLOW MOTION. Those performing the most dramatic renditions will be crowned the King and Queen of Plop. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Entry is free. Trophies will be awarded to the King and Queen. Little Miss Ocean City and Other Events Scheduled

What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 8/17/16 (Aug. 15-19) WEIRD CONTEST WEEK (Wacky But Not Tacky) continues through Friday. “That’s The Way the Cookie Crumbles!” is scheduled for Wednesday. This unusual contest challenges participants to sculpt something interesting out of a giant 12-inch cookie. There will also be an “Ears Looking at You” Wiggle Your Ears Contest. On Thursday, contestants will be asked to sculpt something artistic out of paper clips. The popular contests conclude on Friday with Miss & Mister Miscellaneous, a talent competition for all ages, plus Little Miss and Little Mister Chaos, which requires boys and girls from 3 to 5 years of age to make as much noise as possible by banging on supplied pots and pans.
