What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 7/11/18 Annual Bike Auction Is Set for Monday, July 16 The Philadelphia Flyers Community Caravan will roll into town on Thursday (July 12) and give the community a chance to meet former stars, including Bernie Parent, Larry Goodenough and Bob Kelly. The free event is open to the public and part of a multi-stop family-fun series developed to promote the sport of hockey and support active lifestyles for youth across the region. What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 6/20/18 Farmers Market and Wacky Wednesdays start on June 27 Tickets are on sale now for the season-opening performance of the Ocean City Pops featuring Megan Hilty. The show is at 7:30 p.m. July 2 at the Ocean City Music Pier. Hilty is famous for her portrayal of Ivy Lynn in NBC’s musical drama “Smash.” A native of Seattle, Hilty moved to New York City after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University and quickly made her Broadway debut as Glinda in “Wicked.”  She went on to perform the role in both the national tour and in Los Angeles. Martin Z. Mollusk has successfully predicted an early summer every year for more than four decades (sometimes, of course, with the creative use of flashlights by his handlers). Special guest for Martin Z. Mollusk Day will be former Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper Jon Dorenbos, who has impressed the world with his magic performances. Running back Corey Clement, Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks, tight end Brent Celek and linebacker Mychal Kendricks will be part of the show. Brooks and Celek will be featured in a motorcade down the Ocean City Boardwalk from Sixth Street to 14th Street at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28. What's Happening in Ocean City, NJ 3/14/18 Former Philadelphia Eagles star will perform a magic show and participate in Martin Z. Mollusk Day Former Philadelphia Eagles long-snapper Jon Dorenbos will return to the Ocean City Music Pier on May 12 with a show that mixes his mind-blowing magic talents with inspirational stories. Dorenbos performed a sold-out show in Ocean City last spring with tickets selling out in just a few days. The NFL star’s career ended before the last season when doctors discovered an aortic aneurysm and performed immediate open-heart surgery.
