WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OCEAN CITY Ocean City and producers BRE Presents and Bob Rose Productions announced two new shows in the 30th anniversary season of the popular Summer Concert Series at the Ocean City Music Pier. Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers (June 26) and The Rascals (June 27) will be part of an exceptional anniversary season. Since winning a Grammy award as Best New Artist in 1987 with hits like “The Way It Is,” Hornsby has had a diverse career with his own bands, as a solo artist, and collaborating with other artists, such as the Grateful Dead and Ricky Skaggs. Ocean City Kicks Off 2023 Season With Market Madness

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OCEAN CITY Boardwalk and Downtown merchants in Ocean City will give shoppers a summer preview during the one-day Market Madness event on Saturday, March 11 at the Ocean City Music Pier. The one-day sale will bring together more than 25 different vendors under one roof and provide discounts on favorite local merchandise, goods and attractions. Hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking will be free in municipal lots adjacent to the boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace, Eighth Street and Ninth Street. Ocean City's Boardwalk Merchants Association and Downtown Merchants Association created the new event in 2020 as an early-season attraction, and it will help kick off a season of 2023 special events that will continue throughout the year. Songwriter Aimee Mann, a Beatles tribute band called The Fab Four, and local rock legend George Thorogood are the first shows planned in what promises to be an exceptional anniversary season.
