Indian Summer Weekend featuring Mile-Long Block Party

WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OCEAN CITY

Oct. 10-13: Indian Summer Weekend featuring Mile-Long Fall Block Party: Ocean City’s Annual Fall Block Party is set for Sat., Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Asbury Ave. from 5th to 14th Sts. Over 400 Crafters will show their handiwork, there will be an array of food, a new car show and public service displays.

Entertainment featuring Tidal Wave, the Ralph Roberts Trio, Tony DeLuca and Keith Hickman is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be free pony rides for children from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury Ave.

FIRST NIGHT admission buttons along with its New Year’s Eve entertainment schedule will be available at Saturday’s Block Party in front of City Hall.

BOARDWALK MERCHANTS will hold table sales all four days. DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS will feature table sales on Sunday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a SEAFOOD CENTER in front of the Music Pier Saturday through Monday from 11 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m.

There will be three concerts at various locations on Sat., Oct. 11. The BACON BROTHERS, featuring Kevin and Michael Bacon, will perform 8 p.m. at the Music Pier. Tickets are $30. Call City Hall Annex, 609-525-9300 or access www.ocnj.us.. STEVEN GREEN and his band will be featured at the Tabernacle, 5th and Wesley Ave., on Saturday. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 at the door and ten for $130, call 399-1915. The BUBBA MAC BLUES BAND plays at the Tigerlilly Dance Hall, 805 E. 8th St. from 6 to 10 p.m. There will be dancing, Cajun cooking and an All You Can Eat Buffet. Tickets are $30. Call 609-391-7777.

Oct. 11: A Pumpkin Painting Party for kids and people of all ages is set for the Ocean City Arts Center, 17th and Simpson Ave., this Saturday. There will be two sessions: 11 a.m. till noon and 12:30 p.m. till 1:30 p.m. Cost is $7.50 per person and that includes the pumpkin! Please pre-register by calling 609-399-7628.
